So glad I was able to find you on the internet. You might want to make first order of business to be your search engine result on Google. When you put your name in the browser, your website does not come up.. I just happened to try it and it worked.
As it happens, we seem to know some of the same people, so, happily I have found you and I'm looking forward to getting to know you better and enjoying more of your music. I see you are at the Blue in N'ville coming up... I'd like to know if you ever come out to California...lots of great crowds out here too you know!
Anyhow...Here's to getting to know your work.
Kind regards,

Missed you in Austin in Sept. I'm so sorry. I didn't know about it until after the fact. I'm going to try and make it to Nashville on Nov 1st for the Poets & Prophets thing at the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Here's one for the fans and a memory jogger for you Dean. I don't recall the year (1977-1980), but you were in Princeton Illinois playing at a local tavern during the Thanksgiving Holiday. My parents (Elmer and Julia McCullough) invited you over for Thanksgiving dinner and you played a few songs for the kids who sat around in a half circle on the floor. I recall one song about "Banging on Pots and Pans". I've enjoyed your music over the years... keep it coming.
Respectfully,
Ryan McCullough

Thanks for putting a voice to my thoughts via your songs over the years! Your songwriting is a rare blend of simple and deep! I hope that sounds the way I mean it. I consider you a genius! Thanks!
"The Breath You Take", written by
you and your beautiful daughter, has had me crying for 2 days and the CD isn't out until tomorrow. Prior to this song, I would be hard pressed to say which one I loved the most, because they were all wonderful but this one, will now be my forever favorite. Our "baby boy" will be 30 in 2 weeks and this is THE song we'll give to him. You owe me 2 boxes
of Kleenex =)

I gotta tell Dean, the song "Father,Son,and the Holy Ghost" is ONE of THEE DEEPEST,and MOST MOVING SONGS,I have ever heard in MY entire 51 years of living on Earth. I cry everytime I hear it Man. Its a Positive to Me and VERY HEALING Song as well. I Play four intruments, inclding guitar and I've got to learn this song, to both play it and sing it. I tell ya Man,if this song dont touch the heart of the person listening, they're dead.Thank YOU Dean, from the bottom of MY Heart. Thank you for the vast song-writing contribution that you have made to the country music genre over many years.
Thank you also for being so gracious to me when you provided a 'Peer's Quote' (on Wednesday 11 August 2010) about Gene Watson that I added to the Ireland-based Gene Watson Fan Site, a site that I have been running since September 2004.
Regards from Ireland,
Sean
